• “Blue Roof” Program – Honoring Heroes: In 2018, Lafayette Roofing launched a program to surprise deserving law enforcement officers with free roof replacements. They gifted new roofs to two Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputies that summer, including a veteran who had served in the US Army. “We couldn’t have picked a better candidate… somebody who has devoted their life not only to the U.S. military, but now serving their community,” Domingue said during one surprise roof reveal. Every year, the company also gives away a free roof to a local veteran in need as a patriotic thank-you to those who served. As the company puts it, “It is essential to show people how important our boys in blue are to this community,” and to show appreciation for veterans and first responders.
• Healthcare Heroes Roof Giveaway: At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Darren Domingue wanted to “protect those who protect us.” Lafayette Roofing organized a free roof giveaway for a medical provider family in 2020, taking nominations for healthcare workers in need of a new roof. “We are so grateful to everyone putting their own health at stake for the greater good… This is our way of giving back,” Domingue said, hoping to bless a front-line worker’s family with a safe, dry home.
• Community Event Sponsorships: Lafayette Roofing loves to bring people together. They are a regular sponsor of Acadiana’s favorite events. For example, they have been the presenting sponsor of the annual Uncle Sam’s Jam – Lafayette’s official Fourth of July festival downtown – helping put on a free, family-friendly celebration with live music and fireworks.
